A multi talented Artist, Dawood Sarkhosh was born in 1971 in the province of Urozgan in Central Afghanistan. He started to compose poetry at the age of 9 and play Dumbura and to sing at the age of 17. He studied the Hazaragi Danbura for a short period with the help of his elder brother Sarwar Sarkhosh, and studied Hamoonia/Accordion under the Pakistani composer the late Arbab Ali Khan – from the province of Sind.
At a time when Afghan music had fallen into obscurity under the despotism of fundamentalists.
Sarkhosh revived the art by creating songs inspired by a sense of nationalism and suffering in exile. His song were not commercial, they were artistic reflection of the nostalgia and the bitter taste of refugee life experienced by millions of Afghan refugees throughout the world. They rush to his concerts in their thousands to share their refugee culture with him and enjoy it for a few hours.
Up till now Dawood Sarkhosh has released 3 CDs which are available in almost every Afghan house. His first CD “Sarzamin-e- Man” came out in England in 1998 and shortly after the second CD “Pari Joo “ (Fairy) was released in 2000. The third CD “Sepid -o-Siah” (Black & White) has just been released. Today Sarkhosh is considered as an accomplished artist and one of the most popular and distinguished artistic figures of Afghanistan.
Dawood Sarkhosh is married to K. Nekzad Sarkhosh. They have 2 sons Saboor 8 and Zulfiqar 6.
Biography Ghazanfer Ali was born 21 December 1961 in Quetta city of Pakistan. He started at school, when he was 7 years old. He is bachelor in economics. He started singing in 1982. The first appearance with Pakistan television, was in Quetta centre 1982 in Balochi language. He was related with music from school band group in 1974 from class sixth. Ghazanfer Ali has been a "Noha Khuwan" in Imambargah Kalan Quetta for 8 years from 1979. He has been acting in PTV in various drama serials, in other words he is an actor too. Ghazanfer has learned basic music from Ustad Arbab Ali Khan khosa, Ustad Sharif Khan and Ustad Noor Ahmed.
Discription: Ghazanfer Ali is a great singer amongst the Hazara people. He was born in Quetta Pakistan and he is well educated and thoughtout person. In Pakistan, Ghanzanfer Ali has been on both television and the radio making him a national celebrity. Besides Dari/Persian, he sings in different languages like Urdu, Baluchi, Brawee, Pushto and Punjabi.
Interview with Ghazanfer Ali I have started singing from 1982. My first appearance was 1982 in Pakistan Television in Balochi Language and still I perform in PTV and Radio Pakistan Quetta. Before this I was related with music from School Band Group from 1974 from class 6th. I have been a Noha Khuwan in Imambargah Kalan Quetta for 8 years from 1979. I have acted in various drama serials of PTV as well. I learnt Basic Music from Ustad Arbab Khan Khosa, Ustad Sharif Khan and Ustad Noor Ahmed.

Sarwar Sarkhosh was Dawood's elder brother. He was a very intelligent singer and he was a distinguished artist and wrote the poetry by himself in Persian. Sarwar Sarkhosh was born in 1945 in Urozgan. He started in a local primary school in his birth town and cam out from a High school in Kabul. .Sarwar Sarkhosh has two sons, named Latif and Rauf Sarkhosh, they have both gone in their father's foodprint and sing very wellclick here for his music.

Muhammad Amman Yousufi is one the best singer in Afghanistan. He was born in 1968 in Jaghuri, Ghazni province. Because of many different reasons and specially recording materials, unfortunately he couldnot give out some Albums ntill now.
We hopes, he will succeed in future.......As thousands of other Afghani, Mr. Amaan also live like a refugee in Pakistan/ Iran.

Mirchaman Sultani
Mirchaman Sultani son of Sultan Hussain was born in a rigion, named ''Surkhabad Hisa-e-dowoom Behsud'' Province Maidan - Afghanistan. He is almost 35 years old. He is Collage educated from ''Rqool Lessa''.
Sultani started to sing, when he was in School. He started first Hazaragi songs, latter he sang on Dari/Pashtu…
Mr Sultani’s first album, named “Mahajir az watan Aawara Takay” became released in 1980, which recorded by “Sunhari Music Center” in Quetta City of Pakistan. He had recorded 19 songs at Radio Quetta on Hazaragi Program. Sultani has been as hazara singer at Radio Afghanistan in 1993 and has recorded many items there. He has held many musical concerts in Bamyan etc.
Mr Sultani lives now in Hazara Town – Quetta Pakistan. He work at his Music shop, which calls “Gulchin Music Centerclick here for his music”.

Nativity Zia Sahill is a young and very famous singer today. Zia Sahill was born in 1985 in a town called “Baabah” in distract, Jaghuri Ghazni Province. As thousands of his other landsman, he left his birth town in 1997. He lives in the city of Quetta Pakistan at this time and goes to School there. Sahill is student of 11th at Noor High School in the same city.
Background Zia Sahill has started to sing, when he was 14 years old. He sings very beautifully and has released 2 albums with the titles: “Dokhtar-e-Maqbool Hazara” (Beautiful Hazara Girl) and “Nawai Sahill” that means (The Tune of the Shore).
